January 19, 2014Downloading The Free Enterprise Preview Of Windows 8.1
April 4, 2014It is generally rumored that Microsoft is planning to release Windows 9 by skipping the Windows 8.2 update and it is expected to hit the markets in the month of April 2015. Many reports coming from Microsoft suggest that the new Windows 9 would solve all the issues that users faced with Windows 8 operating system and they are also trying to make use of the Windows 8 features in Windows 9 that will be user-friendly to the desktop users. Moreover, Windows 9 will also feature the Start menu, which was absent in Windows 8.
With Microsoft jumping to Windows 9 directly, it is evident that software giant is looking to make far more significant and drastic changes to the new OS. It is generally assumed that Microsoft would try some changes in the start screen and it is sure that they will not go forward with the Metro Start screen present in the Windows 8 OS. By default, Windows 9 might boot directly to desktop UI. It might also see a feature known as Metro 2.0, which would be a more mature form of the present Metro design language seen in Windows 8.
There is no idea about what Metro 2.0 would be but one thing is sure that the users would be able to run Metro apps in different windows using the desktop. Moreover, it also gives you the freedom to control the metro apps running on the desktop by using your mouse and keyboard. Cross platform app compatibility among Windows Phone 8.1, Xbox One and Windows 9 would also be a feature in Windows 9. However, it is not confirmed yet.
Even though Microsoft has not yet made any announcements yet in any of its press conferences, within the next few months there might be a brief introduction about the Windows 9 operating system just like in 2003, when Microsoft introduced Longhorn OS, which was later renamed as Windows Vista. With the release of Windows 9, Microsoft is all set to heal the scars caused by the release of Windows 8 OS.
Let us hope that those Windows users who have opted for the Windows 8 upgrade would get a free chance to upgrade to the upcoming OS from Microsoft i.e. Windows 9. To know more about the Windows 8 upgrade and other details, contact the Windows 8 Support number.
