August 1, 2015Computers are used for virtually everything nowadays. It is used by millions of people for work and play.
But computers live a hard life, much like cars they are workhorses that seldom get any TLC.
Like cars, computers are in general are used every day and get a lot of abuse. Like cars, they also need to be checked for issues every now and then. A lot of people think that when you have security software on your computer you’re all set.
Not quite…Security software is only good for preventing and cleaning viruses and malware, but they are only part computer problems. Computers are like cars that need maintenance every now and then.
In the industry it is typically called a “Tune Up”. The process is actually what it sounds like. If you keep noticing your computer booting up slowly or when you access drives that are slow, then your computer needs a tune up.
Do your programs open up slowly or do you notice that your web browsing is slow but you are paying for high speed internet or have security software that keeps telling you that there are no viruses or malware on your computer?
Don’t blame your internet service provider or even your internet security. Internet Service Providers dictate your internet speed, not the speed of your computer. Security software protects against viruses.
If you’re your computer is slow then, the problem is with the computer. Your computer might need a tune up. Basically the process is to check for unused files and software, checking your browser, startup items, scheduled task, and even checking if your internet security is slowing down your computer. After a tune up, you might even notice that your computer is snappier and as fast as when you first time you bought it.
